This year, the United Nations theme is “End Racism, Build Peace,” and that’s exactly what the organizers of the Multicultural Peace Festival aim to do. Hear well-respected speakers, including keynote speaker Kachina Melinda Bige from the Kwantlen First Nation and Indigenous Chair at Kwantlen University speak about ways to end racism and promote a more harmonious and understanding future. Activities include a children’s corner, free treats, an Art4Peace exhibit and cultural sharing.
