The Red Notebook: Circus Show follows the journey of a single notebook as it passes through the hands of several extraordinary women. Transformed by the power of the written word, each of their stories is told through a blend of circus, dance, theatre and magical realism.
This full-length theatrical show is the creation of the 2018 Ring Masters Program, a collaboration between the Junior, Intermediate and Senior student groups. Directed by Ryan Mellors, the cast of artists has worked to create an inspired blend of traditional circus and storytelling, featuring new solo and group acts devised by the Ringmasters during the six month production process.
The Ring Masters Program aims to develop students’ technical proficiency in circus technique while also fostering their creative growth, creating opportunities to create new works of contemporary circus and preparing them for entering into the performance industry.
