With an easy day trip from Calgary, you can visit the Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park, the largest First Nations-owned tourism attraction in Canada. On June 21, 2019, the park is celebrating the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of the Blackfoot People as part of National Indigenous People’s Day. The day will hold a “Warriors’ Welcome,” demonstrations of Siksika horse riding skills and dancing, and a BBQ featuring Siksika fry bread.
BCHP’s National Indigenous People’s Day is held in partnership with Visit Newell, a great resource for people travelling in the region, which includes Dinosaur Provincial Park.
