We’re big fans of holiday magic, but we’re also big fans of ice skating! Lucky for us, Calgary has several Skate with Santa events throughout December, so you can see the Man in Red and enjoy active family fun!
Central Commons Park with STAR 95.9 | December 6, 2025
Everyone is invited to Skate with Santa in Central Commons Park from 1 – 5 PM, as STAR 95.9 brings out free festive magic. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Toy Angel campaign, skate with Santa, enjoy games, and more.
Olympic Oval | December 6, 2025
The Oval is turning into Calgary’s coolest holiday destination! Check out the market to shop the season’s best gifts, then lace up and skate with Santa himself. Add in festive activities, a visit with the big guy in red, and laps around The Fastest (and most Festive) Ice in the World™, and you’ve got a holiday tradition that makes the grade. (Regular fees apply.)
Trico Centre | December 6, 2025
Trico Centre for Family Wellness is calling all families to enjoy the holidays! They have loads of fun happening, with special events. Most events are free for members and cost a small fee for non-members, but you have to register. Not only can you skate with Santa from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on December 6, 2025, but you can also swim with Santa on December 19, 2025, from 12 – 8:30 PM.
Okotoks Recreation Centre | December 7, 2025
Come and Skate with Santa in Okotoks on December 7, 2025! Santa will be on the ice at the Okotoks Recreation Centre from 12:15 – 1:45 PM for this FREE event. Candy canes and hot chocolate add to the festive fun. Don’t forget your skates and helmets, and cameras for photos with Santa.
Airdrie Genesis Place | December 22, 2025
Genesis Place in Airdrie features an aquatic centre, arenas, dryland fitness & leisure facilities like indoor and outdoor soccer fields, gymnasiums, indoor running track, and more. On December 22, 2024, you can head there for a FREE Skate with Santa event from 1 – 5 PM!
