You’ve probably heard about the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. While Calgary isn’t in the path of a total eclipse, there will be a partial eclipse from 11:48 am to 1:38 pm. It can be tricky to view an eclipse and protect your eyes, but TELUS Spark Science Centre, in partnership with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, invites you to see the eclipse safely. You can look through telescopes and use protective glasses (one complimentary pair per family), plus a live feed from the path of totality will be shown in the Spark Atrium.  You can also see the planetary show, Chasing Shadows, in the Infinity Dome.
