Hosted by Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Alberta & NWT, this summer camp invites families to enjoy a weekend of laughter, creativity, and outdoor activities. CPF is a non-profit focused on supporting French-language learning for youth and families. Whether you already speak French at home or are just beginning, this camp is a great way to experience the language in a fun, new way.
When?
Camping en français takes place from August 7 to 10, 2026. Participants are welcome to arrive early and set up camp on Friday afternoon, with programming running throughout the weekend and wrapping up on Sunday evening. A detailed schedule will be shared with campers closer to the start of camp, but a general schedule can be viewed here.

Nestled in Edmonton’s scenic river valley, Rainbow Valley Campground is a hidden gem. Surrounded by lush forests, trails and wide-open green spaces, you’ll experience the thrill of the outdoors with all the comforts you need, from campsites and clean washrooms to cozy gathering spots for group activities.
