Christmas in the Heartland

Christmas in the HeartlandTake a trip to the country to celebrate Christmas in the Heartland. During the weekend of November 23 & 24, 2019, halls and churches east of Edmonton will be offering activities, markets, and displays to help kick off the Christmas season. Visitors can purchase tickets for a bus tour of all eight, or drive to visit the venues of their choice. Find all the locations on the Christmas in the Heartland MAP.

Saturday, November 23, 2019 – (most locations 10 am to 4 pm)

Brookville Hall, Highway 16 at 53203 Range Road 212
Ukrainian perogy lunch, perogy making demo, performances, crafts for kids and Santa will be on site!

Partridge Hill Community Hall, 22002 Township Road 542
Art displays and a market of unique, hand-crafted gifts.

Good Hope Hall, 21076 Township Road 542
Over 130 Nutcrackers on display! Ice carving demonstration plus bake sale and vendor sale

Bethany Lutheran Church, 20577 Township Road 550
Enjoy sleigh rides, a brass band and see Nativity displays from around the world.

Moyer Rec Centre, 54569 Range Road 215, Josephburg
Live music, fresh cinnamon buns, rope twisting demonstrations and a market of homemade crafts and baking.

Josephburg Community Church, 21380 Township Road 550
Enjoy festive music, play “name that antique” and shop the country market.

Heartland Hall (North Contact Office),  55305 Range Road 214
Kids’ activities, visits from characters, plus beef on a bun. Stay for the Fireworks Celebration from 4 to 6 pm!

Sunday, November 24, 2019 (various times)

Bethany Lutheran Church, 20577 Township Road 550 (12:30 pm – 4 pm)
Enjoy sleigh rides, a brass band and see Nativity displays from around the world.

Bremner Mansion, 53452 Range Road 225 (11 am – 3 pm)
Indigenous traditions, including dancing, story telling, and music, plus vintage tractors!

Moyer Rec Centre, 54569, Range Road 215, Josephburg (1:30 pm – 3 pm)
Free public skating!
