Togather Chinatown Arts Festival
February 7 & 8 | Gather with family and friends to celebrate at the Togather Chinatown Arts Festival. This free, family-friendly event at Pacific Mall will include live performances, kids’ activities, delicious eats, a market featuring 40+ local vendors, workshops, and more.
Lunar New Year Extravaganza at West Edmonton Mall
February 7 & 8 | Ring in the Year of the Horse at the Lunar New Year Extravaganza at West Edmonton Mall! Everyone is invited to join in two full days of lion dances, Chinese cultural performances, art displays, a marketplace, and more! Admission is $3, or free with a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank. Children 10 and under get in free!
Lunar New Year Celebrations at Londonderry Mall
February 8 | Join the Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Education Association in welcoming in the Year of the Horse at the Lunar New Year celebration in Londonderry Mall. There will be lion dances, drumming, art & crafts, and more. Everyone is invited to share in these joyful cultural traditions!
My Little Pony Lunar New Year
February 10-24 | Celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Horse with the My Little Pony crew at Galaxyland. Enjoy photo ops, Lunar New Year surprises, and festive goodies like red envelopes, fortune cookies, stickers, and magnets (while supplies last). Lunar New Year Celebration at Kingsway Mall
February 14 | Kick off the Year of the Horse with the spectacular Lunar New Year Celebration at Kingsway Mall! The Chinese Graduate Association of Alberta is hosting this vibrant event starting with the Lion Dance Parade through the mall, followed by a full afternoon of activities showcasing Chinese culture and arts, including live music and performances, games, crafts, and workshops!
Lunar New Year at IKEA
February 17 | Celebrate the Year of the Horse and Lunar New Year at IKEA Edmonton! Enjoy a lion dance and drumming in Area B with the Edmonton Kun Seng Keng Lion Dance Troupe, then take part in crafts for the whole family at this free event.
Lunar New Year at Royal Alberta Museum
February 22 | Welcome the Year of the Horse with Edmonton Chinatown’s BIA at a free Lunar New Year celebration at the Royal Alberta Museum! The festivities start at 11 am with an outdoor parade in the north end of Chinatown. Walk with the Lion Dancers and finish the parade at the museum, where you can enjoy performances, activities, and more from 12 to 4 pm.
