While the school-aged kids enjoy costume fun and Halloween parties with their class, we have come up with a few fun ways to make Halloween day fun for the younger ghosts and ghouls. And once that school bell rings, you can be ready to grab those costumed kiddos and head out to one of the other fun events happening Halloween evening!

Halloween Day Fun on Tuesday, October 31, 2023:

Play Cafe (Spruce Grove) Halloween Fun
9:00 am – Noon | This party for ages 1-5 includes a special visit with Minnie and Goofy, craft stations, and toddler trick-or-treating. Tickets available here.
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | In the afternoon Grasp Kits will host a Glow in the Dark Make & Take Party where kids 3+ can create their own plastic sensory glow in the dark globe. Other activities include a colouring and craft station, water play, and Mini Potion Powder Kit to enjoy at home. Tickets available here.

Little Sprouts Halloween Party
10:00 am – 12:00 pm | The Gathering Tree Ltd. invites you to bring your 2-6 year olds to check out their Little Sprouts program during the Halloween party on October 31, 2023. Tickets are just $10 each for a drop-in morning of costumed fun with activities and treats.

FREE Kids admission to the Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens
9:30 am – 6:00 pm | Kids ages 12 & under – dressed up in Halloween costumes get FREE admission all day on October 31. Simply purchase your adult ticket online and bring the kids dressed in costume.

Halloweek at John Janzen Nature Centre
9:00 am – 4:00 pm | Come in costume and take part in the fun with special guest visitors at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. There will be spooky stories, crafts, and Halloween-themed activities as part of regular drop-in admission!

Trunk-or-Treat with Calvary Community Church6:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Collect candy from the decorated car trunks, and enjoy other fun on site activities.

Trunk-or-Treat at VantagePoint Community Church
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Enjoy hot chocolate and hot dogs by the fire pits as the kids safely gather treats from trunk to trunk in the church parking lot.

Laser Halloween Spooktacular at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton
4:00 pm | Visit the Science Centre and enjoy a one-of-a-kind Halloween Spooktacular laser light show in the Zeidler Dome. This ghoulish music and laser show is included with regular admission and is sure to delight the kids with some extra thrilling Halloween fun!

Halloween Fireworks in Terwillegar
8:00 pm | Celebrate fright night with a Halloween Fireworks extravaganza in Terwillegar’s Tomlinson Park! Take a break from trick-or-treating and walk over to the east side of the park to enjoy the spooktacular show at 8:00 pm on Halloween night.
