YEGO the LEGO Festival returns to Mill Woods Town Centre on August 22 & 23, 2026, bringing one of Edmonton’s biggest and most creative LEGO events of the summer. Whether you’re a lifelong LEGO fan or have a young builder at home, this family-friendly festival is packed with exciting building competitions, impressive displays, and plenty of opportunities to unleash your imagination.

Builders of all ages can compete for prizes by creating incredible LEGO masterpieces either at home or during the on-site challenges. Even if you’re not competing, stop by to admire hundreds of amazing creations, cheer on the contestants, and enjoy a weekend celebrating creativity, engineering, and family fun!

Pre-Built LEGO Building Competition

Think you’ve built something award-worthy? The Pre-Built Competition invites LEGO enthusiasts to design and construct their creations at home before bringing them to the festival for judging and public display.

Choose from one of three creative categories:

  • Things That Go – Design race cars, trains, aircraft, spaceships, boats, or any imaginative vehicle.
  • Static Structures – Build iconic landmarks, castles, skyscrapers, bridges, or architectural masterpieces.
  • Cool Scenes – Let your imagination run wild with fantasy worlds, action scenes, futuristic cities, or original storytelling builds.

A $5 non-refundable registration fee reserves your competition spot. Participants may enter multiple creations; register here!

On-Site LEGO Building Competitions

Want to build at the festival? Join the On-Site Build Competition, where all LEGO bricks are supplied and the fun happens live at Mill Woods Town Centre.

Builders can take part in exciting challenges including:

  • Individual and team speed builds
  • Master Build competitions
  • LEGO Train Challenge
  • Wacky Racers
  • LEGO Soccer Tournament
  • Free Build Zone for creative building

Participate in Free Build or Master Build competitions, build alongside fellow LEGO fans, and compete for fantastic prizes!

On-site participation is free, walk-in only, and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
