Get ready for a fun-filled summer ‘en français’! Make new friends, try new activities, and experience summer adventures with Camp de jour du Conseil communautaire du Grand-Havre!
Founded in 1992 by the Conseil communautaire du Grand-Havre, Camp de Jour is one of the only French-speaking camps in HRM. Promoting the overall development of the Francophone community, this camp ensures that the children have fun-filled days while still having an opportunity to speak French with their friends. All children who are able to communicate fully in French are eligible to attend. In addition, children ages four and five who are enrolled in kindergarten French or French immersion are also eligible.
CCGH will have two different camp opportunities – Camp de Jour, for children ages 4 to 9, and Camp en Action for youth ages 10 to 13.
Camp de Jour
Mushroom and Turtle Program for ages 4-5 years
These little campers will develop teamwork and imagination through fun activities linked to weekly themes.
The Rabbits, Lions or Sharks Program for ages 6-7 years
This program is focused on the shared love of creativity and the value of friendships. Campers will socialize through fun, dynamic activities linked to our weekly themes.
The Giraffes and Fireballs Program for ages 8-9 years
Physical activity plays an important role in our lives. This camp helps campers build lasting friendships and create healthy habits through sport and teamwork. Get ready for fun, engaging activities that help campers create lasting memories while they learn about leadership and collaboration.
Camp en Action
Ages 10-13 years
This program will be full of fun and age-appropriate adventures, leadership, and teamwork. Campers will engage in collaborative and cooperative initiatives, allowing everyone’s aptitudes to be expressed.

Week 7: August 12th – 16th, 2024 – Les Francofolies
Week 8: August 19th – 23rd, 2024– On fait la fête!

Daily 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Before camp care (7:30 am – 8:30 am) and after camp care (4:30 pm – 5:30 pm) are available for an additional cost.
