Good news, Halifax… campgrounds in HRM are open! With the official start to summer only weeks away, we are all excited to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and ocean air. With schools not yet on summer holidays, you can still have a great camping getaway without venturing too far away. Check out these awesome campground destinations that are only a short ride away – in and around our city!

Woodhaven RV Park

Woodhaven

Woodhaven RV Park, located in Hammonds Plains, is situated on 70 acres of open and wooded land, within Halifax city limits. Are you tired of staring at your RV in the driveway with nowhere to go? Get away from the city sounds and head to this peaceful retreat for endless outdoor relaxation and fun.

Woodhaven pool

Nothing says summer like a refreshing dip in a pool and the whole family can enjoy a swim at the Woodhaven heated inground pool – open daily from 10 am to dusk. It is also close to Atlantic Splash Adventure (Opening June 30th, 2023), and this year (2023) the campground will be right across the road from Splashifax as it returns to Hatfield Farms.

Don’t forget to bring your bikes and let the kids cruise around the campground or swing and slide the afternoon away at the playground. After the crew is all played out, relax for the evening with a campfire under the stars.
