All children and families are welcome to come spend a morning at Dalhousie to explore fun and engaging activities to help guide you towards a healthier lifestyle. Younger visitors are encouraged to bring their favourite stuffed toy for some interactive play with their “Teddy Bear for Care” fun-spots. If you don’t have a stuffed toy, don’t worry, they’ll be able to provide you with one! There will be lots of prizes, snacks and giveaways! This event is FREE!

Some activities include:
• See, touch and listen to the heart, lungs and stomach of life-like mannequins in the Nursing Simulation Lab. Listen to your favourite stuffed toy’s organs as well at the Teddy Bear for Care fun-spot!
• Visit the Joint Action Rehabilitation (JAR) lab where you can watch researchers testing physical movement on one of the biggest, most advanced treadmills in Nova Scotia
• Learn all about the new Canada Food Guide with Dr. Catherine Mah from the School of Health Administration
• Watch students demonstrate their dental skills on mannequins and give your favourite stuffed toy an oral check-up!
