Tree Lightings in HRM (November 12-December 4): Nothing says the holidays quite like the majestically lit Christmas Tree! Santa is going to be busy helping to light all the trees in HRM and you can join in the festive fun at these FREE Tree Lighting Ceremonies!
Coastal Dance Theatre’s ‘Alice in Winterland’ (November 23-January 9): Join the Coastal Dance Theatre for their spring performance of ”Alice in Winterland” at the Alderney Landing.
Halifax Glow Gardens (November 23– January 2): Celebrate the winter season under the twinkle of a million lights with Glow Halifax.
Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (November 24 – December 30): Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is back on stage in Halifax, at Neptune for its 19th year! Take a break from the holiday rush and settle in for this dramatic telling of this holiday classic.
Santa’s Reindeer Forest at Halifax Shopping Centre (November 24- December 23): Experience the magic and wonder of the season with Santa visits at Santa’s Reindeer Forest at the Halifax Shopping Centre.
Evergreen Festival (November 25 – December 18): Enjoy 4 weeks of outdoor family-friendly festive fun with Halifax’s newest holiday experience – the Evergreen Festival! Take in the lights, markets, and special events to get you in the holiday spirit.
Christmas at Alderney Landing (December 2-4): Get in the holiday spirit with the Traditional German Market, Food, Drinks, Carousel Rides, and lots of festive fun at The Alderney Landing!
Musquodoboit Harbour Christmas Parade of Lights (December 3): The 9th Annual Musquodoboit Harbour Christmas Parade of Lights is a great community event with hot apple cider at the library before the parade! Non-perishable food items and toys for the local food bank will be collected along the parade route.
Ross Farm Christmas in the Country (December 3-4): Enjoy a traditional old-time Christmas at Ross Farm’s Christmas in the Country. Sample delicious traditional holiday dishes, enjoy some of your favourite Christmas carols and weather permitting, there will be horse-drawn rides. Ross Farm Christmas in the Country is part of the New Ross Christmas Festival.
Holiday Terrance At Halifax Shopping Centre (December 2-18): The Halifax Shopping Centre is a place for friends and families to gather, hang out, and have fun. This season, they are inviting you to spend some time inside and out, with a list of free, family-friendly, special events hosted on their Holiday Terrace.
