Out with the old, in with the new! Spring is in the air and with it comes the annual tradition of spring cleaning. Salvation Army Thrift Store – The Salvation Army has several thrift store locations throughout Halifax where you can donate gently used clothing. These stores sell donated items to support the organization’s social programs.

Value Village – Value Village is a second-hand store that accepts donations of gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories. They have several locations in Halifax where you can drop off your donations.

Dress for Success Halifax – Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that provides professional attire and career development tools to women in need. They accept donations of gently used women’s professional clothing, shoes, and accessories.

BFM Thrift Store – BFM (Bibles for Mission) is a Christian charity organization that operates a thrift store in Halifax. They accept donations of gently used clothing, household items, furniture, and more.

Diabetes Canada – Diabetes Canada accepts donations of gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories at several drop-off locations in Halifax. They sell the donated items to raise funds for diabetes research and education.

Once Upon A Child: This is a popular kids’ consignment store in Halifax. They sell gently used clothing, toys, and equipment for babies, toddlers, and kids. They also buy items from customers and pay cash on the spot.

Beacon House: Located in Sackville, Beacon House is a registered charity, so you won’t find any tax on items sold. They rely on donations from the community to fund their food bank, retail store and other additional community support programs.

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission: Mission Mart is a department style thrift store where 100% of the proceeds go to support the work of Souls Harbour Rescue Mission in Halifax, Bridgewater, and Truro.
