It’s that time of year again… we are ‘Lighting Up HRM’!
From Halifax to Hubbards, Sambro to Sackville, Dartmouth, Bedford, and all places in between, these are the best Christmas lights in HRM! Hundreds of staples, thousands of tie wraps and millions of ooh’s and aah’s later, we are ‘Lighting up Halifax, Dartmouth and Beyond’!

Lighting Up HRM – Halifax Area
Downtown Area
Grand Parade, Barrington Street
The only way to truly enjoy the holiday sights and sounds of downtown Halifax is on foot and Parade Square is the place you want to hit up for a holiday spectacle! Halifax City Hall has an amazing projection display that runs about every 15 minutes.
The Halifax Waterfront is home to ‘Evergreen Festival‘, Halifax’s newest holiday festival. Check out their amazing displays, including the ‘Tunnel of Hope’ as they spread cheer and ‘Light up the Waterfront’!
South End
Connaught Avenue/Norwood Street/Rosebank Avenue/Jubilee Road – WOW! This is what Christmas Lights are all about! We suggest you park your vehicle and take a stroll around this festive block to fully enjoy its’ magic! Look for Santa in the window and enjoy the Christmas movies on the big screen. You will also find two donation boxes where goods for the Salvation Army are kindly appreciated. Grab a hot chocolate and enjoy this winter wonderland!

7031 Fielding Avenue – Check out this unique display of ‘Misfit Gingerbread Land’!
Fairview Area
Mt Royale Park Area – Bently Drive, Sophia Street and Salzburg Place – Tucked away behind Mt. Royale Park, just off of Washmill Lake Drive, you will find a little subdivision with a LOT of holiday spirit! Check out over 50 Santas on people’s front lawns and some spectacular lighted homes. The kids will love to see the spectacle and count the Santas along the way!

Lighting Up HRM – Dartmouth Area
Downtown Dartmouth Holiday Lights Tour – Downtown Dartmouth is getting Merry and Bright with beautiful holiday lights, murals, and window displays at 6 different downtown locations including Sullivan’s Pond and the Alderney Landing! Check here for all the festive details.

33 Grover Drive, Williamswood – Head out past Spryfield to check out these amazing lights! You can enjoy this display from 5 pm to 10 pm daily until December 31st.
Mineville – Lights Up Mineville! It’s been 10 years since the last Mineville Christmas Decorating Contest but the festive folks in Mineville are bringing it back in 2020. We imagine there will be lots of great light displays throughout the community. Check out their Facebook Page for the latest details!
