Nowruz, the Persian New Year, is an ancestral festivity that marks the first day of spring and the renewal of nature. Rooted in a 3,000-year-old mythology, today more than 300 million people celebrate Nowruz worldwide through a variety of different practices and rituals that welcome new beginnings. All are welcome to join us at the Museum to learn more about Nowruz and celebrate with us through performances, crafts workshops and a visit from Uncle Nowruz.

Nowruz at the Museum is presented in partnership with the Iranian Cultural Society of Nova Scotia.
