We are sure you’ve heard about the upcoming one-day Teacher’s Strike on Tuesday, January 16th. 2024. We wish the teachers the best possible outcome. If you’re wondering what to do with your children (or looking for somewhere to drop off your kids), a few businesses have stepped up to help support teachers and parents.

If you are interested in supporting the teachers, you can follow Saskatchewan Teacher’s Federation on Facebook for some ideas. There will be a few different places in Saskatoon where you can drop off food or drinks or stand with the teachers. You can ask at your local school where they will be.

Ideas for the Family

Mars Minigolf has an amazing offer. All children 12 years and younger can play minigolf for free if they’re accompanied by a paid adult. It’s perfect if you can get the day off with your child. Just show them the Facebook post to be eligible.

Lawson Heights Mall will be offering Super Hero Training to your little ones. This event is from 10 am to 11:30 am between Ardene and La Vie en Rose.

Grab your toboggan and go sledding at one of the many Places to Toboggan in Saskatoon! Or you can grab your skates and check out some Amazing Public Rinks in Saskatoon.

If you’re not ready to face the cold (we hear it may warm up a little though), you can always visit an AWESOME Indoor Saskatoon Play Centres!

Check out one of Saskatoon’s museums – we love visiting Western Development Museum or Remai Modern.

If your kids are making you feel like you live in a zoo, take them to the Saskatoon Zoo and Forestry Farm! The admission is by donation right now.

Wanuskewin Heritage Park is another option if your littles have a lot of energy with an amazing park and long trails to hike (or snowshoe!)

We hope you have a stress-free day and can send your children for some fun or have fun with them.
