Hands up if you are beside yourself with excitement that in-person theatre events are once again part of our lives! If you are like me and can’t wait to sink into a plushy chair, disappear into the darkness, and be enveloped in the magical world of theatre, then now is the time to get your tickets to Gateway Theatre’s production of ‘A Broadway Holiday’.
“After 20 months of our theatre being in the dark, we want to celebrate our return with an uplifting concert filled with cheer and joy – much like the feeling of coming home for the holidays, ” says Barbara Tomasic, Gateway Theatre’s Director of Artistic Programs and co-creator of ‘A Broadway Holiday’. “It’s going to be a celebration of everything we love about Broadway, the holiday season, and being together in-person again.”
Performed by seven talented singer-musicians, you will be treated to festive hits from Broadway shows like “Let it Snow”, “Sleigh Ride”, and “White Christmas” to name a few. The musical show features entertaining instruments such as the accordion and kazoo! This all-ages show will lift your spirits and get your whole family in the holiday mood.
Gateway Theatre recognizes that not everyone is comfortable or ready for in-person events. For that reason, the theatre is also making ‘A Broadway Holiday’ available for video-on-demand which can be viewed in the comfort of your own home.
The show runs for 90 minutes (with no intermission).

Gateway Theatre recommends buying tickets early as seating will be limited. At the moment, although the Province of BC has lifted capacity restrictions on indoor events, Gateway Theatre has decided to keep a reduced audience capacity at its orchestra level seating to ensure comfort and spacing between groups. As required by the Provincial health order, patrons aged 12 and over will be required to show proof of full vaccination, along with picture ID upon entering the venue. Masks must also be worn all times inside the venue unless patrons are under the age of five or have a physical or medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask. The health and safety of all patrons, artists, instructors, students, volunteers, and staff is Gateway Theatre’s top priority.
