After the ROARING, SOLD OUT success of A Charlie Brown Christmas in 2016, Carousel Theatre for Young People is bringing back the production but it is even bigger & better for 2018. Oh good grief, it’s a double bill Charlie Brown: A Charlie Brown Christmas AND You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. We can’t say this loud enough, or often enough, get your tickets NOW! The show is going to sell out fast and you don’t want to be disappointed.

Experience the ups and downs of everyday life with Charlie Brown and his friends in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. When your friends are the Peanuts gang, no day is ever ordinary, and somewhere between Beethoven’s Birthday, peanut butter sandwiches, and team baseball, Charlie Brown and the gang learn about the joys of friendship and stumble upon the true meaning of happiness.

Next up is the beloved holiday tradition, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Carousel Theatre for Young People have invited Charlie Brown, Lucy, Sally, PigPen, Linus, Snoopy, and many of the other beloved characters to the Waterfront Theatre for the holiday season. This musical adaption sees Charlie Brown attempt to direct the school’s Christmas pageant. The ever-famous Charlie Brown Christmas tree helps Charlie Brown and his gaggle of friends discover the true meaning of Christmas.

The performance is packed with singing, dancing & music. Yet still maintains the quiet thoughtfulness of Charlie Brown. Three of the characters (PigPen, Schroeder & Shermy) do double duty as they are also the on-stage jazz band.

A highlight of 2016 show was Snoopy. Isn’t he always stealing Charlie Brown’s thunder? From his high-flying antics chasing the Red Barron to commercialized and over-decorated dog house, Snoopy (puppeted by Allan Zinyk) provided a great many laughs for the audience.

The 80 minute (plus intermission) feel-good performance is intended for children aged 3 years and up. The other shows in the Carousel Theatre for Young People’s 2018/19 season are: A Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favourites (February 23 & 24, 2019), Elephant & Piggies’s: We Are In A Play (March 2 – 31, 2019), Salmon Girl (April 6 – 14, 2019), The Young King (April 13 – 21, 2019), and I Sea Sky (June 4 – 23, 2019).
