Put on your wolf suit and join the wild rumpus at Carousel Theatre for Young People’s presentation of Where the Wild Things Are. Kim Selody’s adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s iconic children’s book roars to life onstage March 10 – 22, 2026, with a Presentation House Theatre Production show featuring vibrant sets, costumes, and all the mischief required to stage this timeless classic.

Follow Max as he turns into a “wild thing” in his wolf suit and runs wildly through his house, causing chaos. After being sent to bed by his mother, Max embarks on a magical journey to the “Land of the Wild Things” where he meets creatures that roar their terrible roars and gnash their terrible teeth. Despite their tremendous size, Max quickly finds that he is the wildest thing of them all and commands their attention! Cue the Wild Rumpus! Max and the Wild Things dance and play and create all sorts of mischief. However, Max -now King of the Wild Things- feels lonely and misses his mom. He sails back across the ocean and returns to a place where he is loved and cared for.
