Originally commissioned by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, this ZeeZee Theatre Production original is a delightful show about play, connection, and fun that will have adults and children up on their feet dancing and celebrating.

Creativity and playfulness are something everyone (young and old!) could use more of in their own life. Fortunately, the actors and directors at Carousel Theatre for Young People are experts in joyful expression. Their productions consistently celebrate individuality, inspire confidence, and reinforce the importance of community and connection. Parents Are a Drag was a hit show during the 2019 and 2022 Vancouver International Children’s Festival, and now this delightful show is set to open CTYP’s 2025-2026 season!

Join fabulously fun local drag queens Peach Cobblah and Isolde N. Barron as they sing, dance, and twirl their way through a rainbow explosion of costumes, wigs, and exciting dress-up play. Acceptance and support is the name of the game, and audience members will have the opportunity to get in on the fun and create their own creative characters. Come to the show dressed to impress, or ready for some exciting dress-up opportunities as audience members explore what it means to be self-confident, unique, and creative.

With a running time of approximately 45 minutes and plenty of opportunity to move around, sing, and dance, this show is perfect for ages 2 and up.  Audiences of all ages will be captivated by the playful costumes, original music, dancing, and unforgettable characters on stage.
