What is LUZIA About?

Set in a mythical dreamland inspired by Mexico, LUZIA is Cirque du Soleil’s first show to incorporate water (think giant rainfalls, water curtains, and cenotes) into the performance! As the show opens, a parachuted traveler finds himself caught between dreams and reality. Guided by light (‘Luz’) and rain (‘lluvia’), he discovers the breathtaking nature and scenes of this new land. With bright, vibrant colours, plenty of lightscapes, and a colourful tapestry of places, faces and sounds from modern and traditional Mexican culture, LUZIA is a captivating show for all ages. Get ready to experience exemplary acrobatics, vertical pole-jumping, gravity-defying swings, and mesmerizing dance. This homage to the beauty of Mexico includes contemporary and traditional music and stunning costumes.
