Easter Event GuideIt’s no joke! The Easter Bunny is hopping into town on Sunday April 21st. As Metro Vancouver LOVES to celebrate holidays there are oodles of family-friendly events happening all around the Easter long weekend. Find those bunny ears & get in on the hopping fun! If we’ve missed an event send us an email (vancouver@familyfuncanada.com) and we’ll hop right to it and get our list updated. Hope there’s lots of chocolate in everyone’s future!

Abbotsford

Maan Farms Annual Easter Eggstravaganza (April 19-22)  – There will be an easter egg Hunt, face painting, petting zoo, play area and lots of food! Admission is $10 (online) or $12.50 (at the door) which include all the Maan Farms attractions, a guaranteed prize, and a chance of finding the Golden Egg.

Easter Bunny at HighStreet (April 19 & 20) – If you are visiting HighStreet keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny. He will be hopping around HighStreet at various times handing out treats from Purdy’s.

Britannia Beach

Easter Dino Egg Hunt at Britannia Mine Museum (April 21) – Britanniasaurus Rex is once again wondering around Britannia Mine Museum hiding gem-filled Easter eggs. Egg hunts at 11am & 1pm.

Burnaby

Grandparent & Family Easter Egg Hunt (April 20)- Decorate an Easter basket, make Easter crafts and go on an adventurous egg hunt. Children, aged 17 months – 10 years, must be accompanied by a grandparent. You need to pre-register and the cost is $5.

Easter Egg Hunt at CG Brown Pool (April 21) – It is time for an Easter egg hunt at CG Brown Pool. Be on the lookout, the Easter Bunny is stashing treats all around the pool! Loonie swim rates will be in effect.

Coquitlam

Burke Mountain Community Easter Egg Hunt (April 19) – The 9th Annual Burke Mountain Community Easter Egg Hunt is in a new location: Smiling Creek Elementary School. Registration begins at 10AM and families are encouraged to please bring their own Easter Egg Basket. Participation in the Easter Egg Hunt fund raising event is by donation (suggested $5/family).

Easter Chocolate Making (April 20) – Spring has arrived at the Coquitlam Heritage Society. Easter is here and that means chocolate! Make bunnies, eggs and other tasty treats for spring. Milk and dark chocolate fun. Rocky Road, Rice Krispie Caramel Clusters and more.

Delta

Easter Egg Hunt & Pancake Breakfast (April 20) – Families with young children are invited to the annual Rotary Club of Tsawwassen Easter celebration. The activities include: a pancake breakfast, Easter egg hunt, face painting, balloon artists, a bouncy castle, petting zoo, cookie decorating &, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny.

51st Annual Easter Egg Hunt (April 21) – Calling all egg hunters aged 1 – 11 years! The 51st annual North Delta Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt is back for another memorable year. Bring your Easter basket, your eagle eyes & get ready for some hunting FREE fun! This event goes ahead rain or shine.

Easter Parade in Ladner (April 21) – The world famous Delta Pipe band joins the Easter bunny and many children for an Easter Parade. Starting at 1pm at the Delta Museum, be sure to wear your Easter bonnets and decorate your bike, wagon or stroller! This is a FREE family-fun event.

Langley

Pictures with the Easter Bunny (April 8 – 21) – The Easter Bunny has taken a moment from hiding eggs to sit still and let you have a photo taken with him.

Easter Kids Club Party (April 19) – If you are an Otter Co-op member (or wish to become one) you are invited to the Easter Kids Club Party! 4H petting zoo, bouncy castle, face painting, cupcake decorating & much more! There will be live entertainment & a visit from the Easter Bunny too!

Easter Festival & Egg Hunt at Township 7 Winery (April 21) – The kids will enjoy the egg hunt in the vineyard plus a fancy-pants petting zoo and live music. The adults will enjoy wine tasting and yummy treats from the onsite food truck. Please be sure to RSVP in advance as tickets sell out quickly.

Bunnies & Baskets (April 20) – Families are invited for a variety of Easter crafts, activities and games, including Easter-egg dying, bunny and chick crafts, story time, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Admission is $10 for a family of 4.

Easter at Fort Langley (April 21) – The all-ages Easter Scavenger Hunt includes lots of running and chocolate! The kids will be given fun activities to complete and chocolate rewards. Don’t forget kids are now FREE to enter all national parks.

Maple Ridge

Golden Ears Cheesecrafters Easter Extravaganza (April 19 – 21) – Bring the whole family and enjoy Easter entertainment: pet the farm animals, meet the Easter Bunny, get your faces painted, join the Easter Egg Hunt, wander the Pop-Up Market, indulge in tasty treats and more! Pre-register to save $; and be sure to pre-register for the limited-space Easter Egg Hunt.

A Hopping Time! Special Easter Activity (April 21) – Fill your Easter Sunday with 7 kid-friendly crafts at the ACT Arts Centre. Make a paper Easter basket, bunny ears, get your child’s face painted, pick up some Easter goodies, watch a live performance & more.

Whonnock Lake Easter Egg Hunt (April 21) – Bring your best hunting eyes! The Whonnack Lake Easter Egg Hunt starts at 11am. Don’t forget your basket.

Mission

Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt (April 21) – Take part in the annual Elks Easter Egg Hunt in Mission. This is a FREE event for all ages. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Plus there will be games, fun & prizes for the best costume.

New Westminster

Easter in Queen’s Park (April 21) – There are oodles of events planned for New Westminster’s Easter in Queen’s Park. Live entertainment, the petting farm, crafts & face painting, and more will keep everyone entertained. The Easter Bunny will be on site for photos (suggested donation: $2).

North Vancouver

Heywood Park Easter Egg Hunt (April 20) – The annual FREE Heywood Park Easter Egg Hunt is beloved by many. This event is for children aged 2 – 9 years. The hunt starts at 10:30am promptly. Families can also enjoy crafts, entertainment, a bouncy castle (weather permitting) and refreshments.

Easter at Lonsdale Quay (April 21) –  The kids will enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, crafts, cookie decorating, a visit from the Easter Bunny and more. Collect enough eggs & win a prize!

LynnValleyLife Easter Egg Hunt (April 22) – Enjoy a FREE Easter egg hunt, face painting, balloon art, & prizes. Don’t forget to bring your Easter egg basket.

Pitt Meadows

Easter FUN Day (April 21) – It’s an Easter celebration in Pitt Meadows. The FREE fun includes: an Easter egg hunt, arts & crafts, pony rides, bunny hop races & so much more.

Port Coquitlam

Easter Arts Carnival at Leigh Square (April 20) – The 9th annual Easter Arts Carnival include egg dying, festive art creations, an Easter egg hunt, face painting, carnival treats, a new art exhibit and live entertainment. Pre-registration is required.

Easter Egg Hunt (April 21) – The folks at Ackerman Real Estate are hosting a FREE family-friendly Easter egg hunt. In addition to the traditional egg hunt there will be games, colouring, treats, snacks & lots of fun!

Port Moody

Easter at Port Moody Station (April 21) – Guaranteed fun for those who celebrate Easter at Port Moody Station. The main event is, of course, the Easter egg hunt. Beans are hidden around the station…each found bean gets exchanged for a chocolate egg! Other activities include face painting, Easter basket making, bunny ear craft, a duck chute, and a fun fishing activity. Admission is $10 per child (cash only at the door).

Richmond

Easter Scavenger Hunt at the Cannery (April 19 – 21) – Enjoy a fun-filled weekend with games, crafts, activities and of course, the annual Easter Salmon scavenger hunt, all inside the historic Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. Admission is $4.90 for Kids/Youth (2-16), $3.90 for Adults.

Easter Tea (April 21) – Enjoy a fancy Easter tea with Easter egg tarts and a chick cookie served with the requisite tea & scones. The kids will enjoy the Easter egg hunt in the Heritage Gardens. There will also be treat bags & each child can collect 1 plastic Easter egg (a note is tucked inside for something to be redeemed in the Tea Room). Cost is $15 per person.

Easter Eggstravaganza (April 20 & 21) – Visit your local Richmond Community Centre for a morning filled with Easter fun. Activities include an Easter egg hunt, crafts, games, and a visit with the all important Bunny! Parent participation is required and please register in advance.

Surrey

Easter Skates (April 13 & 14) – While regular admission rates still apply, the Easter skates add a whole lot more fun! Enjoy an Easter egg hunt, egg decorating and themed ice games. You can also have your picture taken with the Easter bunny.

Family Easter Arts & Crafts (April 13) – Enjoy a fun, FREE family event including an Easter egg hunt, face painting, crafts, games and much more!

Easter Swims (April 20 & 21) – The Easter Bunny is stopping by for a dip in a few of Surrey’s pools. Enjoy an Easter egg hunt, crafts & games over the Easter long weekend.

Old Fashioned Easter (April 20) – After your Easter egg hunt at home, make your way to the Farm to continue the fun. Even meet the Easter bunny himself! Other family fun activities include: DIY rabbit ears, decorate egg shaped cookies, scavenger hunts, face painting. While there is no egg hunt at this year’s event, families are invited to enjoy the grounds, walk through Elgin Heritage Park and utilize the Farm’s photo area until 3pm.

Vancouver

Easter Carnival (April 13) – Join the Easter Bunny for an Easter egg hunt, arts and crafts, playtime at Coal Harbour Community Centre. The excitement will also include balloon making, a photo booth, and cookie decorating!

FREE Easter Egg Hunt at City Square (April 13) – Bring the whole family to the FREE City Square Shopping Centre Easter Egg Hunt! Kids will enjoy a lot of FREE activities and there are some AMAZING prizes to be won.

Easter Train at Stanley Park (April 18 – 22) – Hop on the Easter Train at Stanley Park for an egg-citing ride through Vancouver’s most famous park. After the train ride, your kids will enjoy hunting for eggs, playing games, making bunny ears, getting their face painted, meeting the Easter Bunny and much more! Don’t miss out on this unique all ages Easter event, open rain or shine.

Easter Hop at VanDusen Garden (April 19 – 21) – Everyone is invited to the Easter Hop at VanDusen Botanical Garden. Kids can collect eggs near the maze area and receive a chocolate prize, hop along to fun music on the great lawn, take a photo with the Easter bunny and enjoy other egg-citing activities at the garden. All ages welcome.

Family Easter Party at Rocky Mountain Flatbread (April 20 & 21) – parents can enjoy some quiet time while their little ones are occupied making pizza & dyeing Easer eggs.

Vancouver Aquarium Easter Scavenger Hunt (April 19 – 22) – the Vancouver Aquarium is hosting their 3rd annual Easter egg hunt. Trivia clues will lead visitors through the various galleries learning how marine animals hatch their young.

Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Dying (April 20) – Learn how to do Pysanky, Ukrainian Egg Dying. They will have all the supplies we carry out for you to try out. Spend some of Easter Weekend crafting with neighbours.
