Hats Off Burnaby (June 4th) – everyone loves a party, especially a street party! Hastings Street closes to cars and the streets flood with people ready to celebrate. A family fun dash, parade, street party and show & shine are all part of the FREE fun!
Vancouver Landfill 50th Anniversary Open House (June 4th) – get a look at how Vancouver’s garbage is dealt with at the Delta-based landfill. Enjoy cake and learn a whole lot at this world renowned facility.
Teddy Bear Family Concert (June 11th) – Could there be anything more charming? A family concert where the teddy bears are invited! Tony Prophet, Norma McKnight, and Charlotte Diamond are performing at this free event!
Teddy Bear Picnic (June 12th) – In case you couldn’t make the Teddy Bear Family Concert, don’t worry the bears are being invited to their very own picnic. Admission is $3 and includes storytellers, roving performers, puppet show & more.
Driediger Summer Festival (June 12th) – You know summer has arrived when the berries are ripe for picking! Head to Driediger Farms in Langley for their annual Summer Festival. I can’t wait for the pie-eating competition!

Point Grey Fiesta (June 17 – 19) – Did you know Dad’s ride FREE on Father’s Day at the Point Grey Fiesta? The 3 day-long celebration offers entertainment for everyone.
BC Family Fishing Weekend (June 18 & 19) – Once a year – just in time for Father’s Day – everyone can fish WITHOUT a fishing license. Give it a try…you might get hooked! There are fishing events happening in communities all across Metro Vancouver.

Don’t forget that the majority of the water spray parks around Metro Vancouver are now open. Pack a picnic, slather on the sunscreen, and explore a new park as a family. The outdoor pools are also opening up for the summer months.
