The Halloween season just got a bit more magical with the return of a bigger and better Pumpkins After Dark! This year, this popular event is bigger and better! Canada’s award-winning Halloween event arrives at Burnaby’s Swangard Stadium on October 3rd with all-new pumpkin displays and events sure to thrill those who have been before and first-time visitors. This spooktacular event is an iconic part of the Halloween season, providing plenty of fun for ghosts and ghouls of all ages!
Pumpkin carving is a beloved part of every Halloween, and Pumpkins After Dark takes this tradition to the next level! Get ready to be wowed by 10,000+ hand-carved pumpkins arranged in stunning sculptural displays throughout Swangard Stadium and Central Park. Pumpkins After Dark is an outdoor, walk-through experience that utilizes special effects, lighting, music, and sound to bring each installation to life. Visitors will enjoy spotting classic Halloween characters, dragons, dinosaurs, movie and pop culture icons and more, all proudly carved by Canadian artists. This celebration of all things Halloween will even include some live pumpkin carving demonstrations!
Worried this event could be scary for little ones? Don’t be! The organizers of Pumpkins After Dark say “This is a family-friendly event. The majority of displays are child-friendly and include superheroes and Disney characters. There are a few displays of classic horror monsters and zombies, no blood or gore and nothing jumps out.”
In addition to the walking pathway through the pumpkins, there are many other attractions to keep your family entertained. You can watch live pumpkin carving demos and buy your own pumpkins.
