Avoid the “Summer Slide” by enrolling your kids in a program that is engaging and will help them develop their confidence in math curriculum and problem-solving skills. At Spirit of Math, students will learn alongside passionate educators through collaborative group work, drills, direct instruction, and problem-solving tasks in line with the core curriculum at every grade. As a result, students who are looking for a challenge find themselves soaring to new heights in their learning, and those who have struggled in the past will solidify their foundational skills and enter the next year of school feeling confident in their abilities.

At Spirit of Math Summer Camps, students in grades 2-9 will enjoy enrichment in areas that are not always covered in depth during the school year. Grade 2 and 3 will hone their problem-solving skills working with consecutive number problems, counting shapes, and integers– to name a few! Students looking for additional enrichment will love learning about Cartesian axes, the Tower of Hanoi, and the Fibonacci Sequence. In fact, many students that take a summer camp at Spirit of Math end up returning throughout the year for lessons and repeatedly for Summer Camps to continue their learning.

Grade 4-6 students are eager to apply their learning and tackle increasingly difficult problems, which is where Spirit of Math comes in. At this level, students can learn about the Golden Ratio and prepare to enter Math Competitions. Those entering grades 6, 7, or 8 can take a refresher course that consolidates the foundational skills learned in the elementary grades before making the more challenging jump to high school mathematical concepts.

Finally, math classes can move quickly, and there isn’t always enough time in a school year to cover all topics in depth. Spirit of Math Summer Camps offer more in-depth instruction for grades 7-9 in Probability and Transformations for enrichment. Students who feel challenged and engaged by learning increasingly complex material have greater motivation and, in turn, report higher levels of motivation and success at school.
