Trick or Treating is not for the faint of heart. Children seem to have boundless energy on Halloween night; a mixture of the novelty of running the streets in the dark and the anticipation of collecting as much candy as humanly possible. However, this enthusiasm, especially after a day of work for many parents, can be exhausting. Add in a little rain and what is supposed to be an exciting evening can lead to a series of unfortunate events.

Enter: Organized Trick-or-Treating events! These events are perfect for those with less stamina to run the whole night, or parents who prefer a clear start and end time. Not to mention, the safety aspect of a well-lit (sometimes indoor!) space to safely collect treats. With so many families living in neighbourhoods or buildings that are not conducive to running door-to-door, this is the perfect compromise. Since Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, some of the events are conveniently scheduled on the weekend so you don’t have to rush around on a school night.  We’ve rounded up a list of organized Trick or Treat events across Metro Vancouver for all you ghouls and goblins to check out!
