Guarantee your child’s success by enrolling them in the intellectually stimulating camps at Vancouver Chess School.
The game of chess is on the rise with a younger demographic who values the precision, skill, and strategy involved in the game. It seems like everywhere you turn, kids are playing chess at the playground, in their classrooms, and at recess and lunchtime. This, of course, delights parents as there are so many skills learned through chess that are transferable to other classes and in life: mathematical representations, problem-solving, formal logic, adaptability, cognitive stamina, and focused on staying engaged through the entirety of the game.
If your child loves playing Chess or has just started to show an interest in learning, then enroll them in Winter camps at Vancouver Chess School. With over a decade of experience and highly qualified coaches and instructors, Vancouver Chess School is a leader in chess education with small class sizes, one-on-one instruction, and competitive tournaments. Through this approach, students progress through levels: Absolute Beginner for those who have never played before, to Master, the highest level.
For Winter camps, students will follow a fun and educational schedule that incorporates expert instruction, time for tournaments and play, and skill-building in concentration, abstract reasoning, creativity, and originality. A typical day at camp begins with chess lessons using electronic presentations and videos. Then, students engage in Chess tournaments in a variety of fun formats, followed by Chess Puzzle exercises, game analysis, and Chess exhibitions. Camps are available in a full-day format from 9am-3pm ($375), or in half-day formats from 9am-12pm ($225) and 12pm-3pm ($225). All camps run for 5 days.
Camp dates are as follows:
Week 1: December 22 – 26, 2025
Week 2: December 29 – January 2, 2026
Week 3: January 5 – 9, 2026
