Vancouver Performing Stars is passionate about inspiring kids and creating a sense of community and belonging. Their summer camps are the perfect opportunity for kids who are seasoned professionals or stepping on the stage for the first time to try singing, dancing, and acting guided by professionals intent on preserving creativity and fun and building confidence in every child. Some of their camps are dance-focused and some combine all elements of Musical Theatre. With over 12 years of experience in musical theatre, dance, and coaching acting, the instructors at Vancouver Performing Stars know what it takes to craft quality productions that kids are proud of.  Each camp runs for a week and is grouped by age and theme. The length of each camp depends on the age range, so you can choose the time that works best for your family. If your child is looking for a fully immersive, by-audition camp this summer, Vancouver Performing Stars has the perfect options! During this 3-week intensive, campers age 9-19 will experience the full breadth of putting on a professional production right from auditions where students will be asked to bring in a headshot, performance resume,  memorized monologue and 30-60 seconds of a song. This summer camp will run rehearsals from 10am-4pm Monday-Friday for 3 weeks, and culminate in a run of 6 shows for family, friends and community members to see. There are two productions to choose from: Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, and Frankie Builds Androids. The July session runs from July 8-26, with shows on July 27-30th, while the August session runs from August 6-23 with shows on August 24-27th. Register for auditions here.
