Hands-on experimentation, application, and problem-solving are the core of the innovative Steamoji Summer Camps. Focusing on learning through fun, Steamoji Summer Camps expose campers to new technologies in fabrication, physical computing, engineering, and digital arts. If you want your child to be comfortable with leading-edge technology then this is the summer camp for you!

The highly-trained educators are eager to share their expertise with your child. Steamoji recognizes that it’s hard for the school system to rapidly evolve to the fast pace of technological advances. Steamoji’s mission is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and a technologically advanced world; they train builders, makers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Steamoji Summer Camps are ideal for children ages 5-14, and offer full-day options (9am-3pm) or half-day options (9am-12pm).

Check out just some of the many Steamoji Summer Camps your child can enjoy in Burnaby, Coquitlam, Richmond, North Vancouver, Vancouver (Kitsilano and Kerrisdale), West Vancouver and South Surrey this summer:

The Art of Games: Plan, Make, Play (ages 5-7): Junior Apprentices will love learning how to create their own mini-games using both creativity and critical thinking. Students will use the materials around them each day to design and structure their own games.

Arduino in Action: Build, Code, Move! (ages 8-14) : This camp introduces apprentices to the world of coding and Arduino in an interactive and exciting way. Apprentices will play games, solve problems, and complete challenges while learning foundational coding skills. The goal is to create a motion-sensor machine that will perform a specified task such as launching an object or moving.

Lightbulb Moment: Making a 3D Printed Lamp(ages 8-14): In this entry-level camp, apprentices will design in both 2D and 3D, learn how to prototype with a variety of materials, and finally bring their own 3D design to life.

Marble Run Madness: Design and Engineer (ages 8-14): Apprentices will learn every step of the design process as they research, prototype, test and assemble their marble run. By the end of the week, they’ll have built a fascinating, gravity-defying structure combining creativity with their new engineering skills.

STEAM Goes Medieval: Creating Castles and Catapults (ages 5-7): Campers will work together in teams during this camp to build the tallest tower and strongest catapult. In order to achieve this, they will need to learn about levers, building techniques, and balance.

Carnival of Creativity: Digital Storytelling and Fabrication (ages 5-7): This exciting camp will develop students’ skills across the full spectrum of STEAM. From digital art to creating stories and characters in Scratch Jr., campers will create amazing works of creativity and code over the course of the week.
