Well hello June! The family-fun activities ramp up during the warmer months. We’ve picked a mere sampling of the great events eager to entertain people with kids-in-tow. If you need more ideas, head on over to the Family Fun Vancouver calendar!
Vancouver Children’s Festival (May 31 – June 13) – the fun may have started in May but we couldn’t leave this Vancouver-staple off our June events list. For 2021, the Kids’ Fest is going virtual. Watch a show online from the comfort of home from May 31 to June 13 with Pay-What-You-Can pricing.
Pitt Meadows Day (June – September) – For 2021, Pitt Meadows Day is becoming a multi-month, virtual event. Hop online to support local artisans and charities. Pick up a craft kit. Complete a city-wide-word search.
Hats Off Day (June 1 – 5) – the merchants in Burnaby Heights are taking their Hats Off for their community & customers. Check out the fantastic sales and specials offered all week.
Doors Open Richmond (June 5 – 12) – Discover Doors Open Richmond 2021 is going virtual. For a week you will be able to view new videos sharing behind-the-scenes footage from more than 30 businesses and locations across the city.
Playland – get ready to feel the wind in your hair! Playland and its more than 30 rides opens on the night of June 11. For 2021, the rides are split into 2 groups and accessed by different passes. The Fun Pass provides access to the family-friendly rides; the Thrill-Seeker Pass gets you on the rides that aren’t for the feint of heart.
BC Family Fishing Weekend (June 18 – 20) – While the usual events aren’t happening thanks to COVID, the license-free fishing is still a go for this year. BC residents can fish without a license over the Father’s Day weekend.
Father’s Day (June 20th) – Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads, step-dads, grand-dads, dads-in-training, dads-flying-by-the-seat-of-their-pants, and everyone else who is helping nurture the next generation. Are you in need of a Father’s Day activity? Check out our list here.
Greek Day (June 26 & 27) – For 2021, Greek Day is actually 2 days and is a drive thru festival. Pre-order your food, hop in your car, and experience a drive-thru Greek festival.
