There’s no better place in Calgary to spend Canada Day than Heritage Park Historical Village! Travel back in time with your little ones and celebrate Canada’s birthday in historical style.
Known as Dominion Day before 1982, Canada Day commemorates the formation of Canada in 1867. Stop by for a day packed full of fun for everyone, including a free pancake breakfast for the first 2,019 guests through the gates before 10:30 am! You won’t want to miss out on the moving postcard that is the Dominion Day Parade.
Activities will continue throughout the day, with live music, entertainment, mini chuckwagon races, and plenty of good old-fashioned family fun and games. Of course, the antique midway, wagon, train and boat rides (along with all the other park attractions) will all be in full swing for you to enjoy. If you don’t have time to pack a picnic lunch, you’ll want to head to one of your favourite Heritage Park food vendors!
