Come explore Calgary’s BIGGEST used book sale! The Calgary Reads Big Book Sale event is an important fundraiser, supporting a year-long commitment to literacy for children across Alberta. You’ll discover more than 200,000 gently used books covering all subjects and genres, and whatever you love to read, you’ll find stacks here! Most adult books are $4 and most children’s books are $2. Get your bags ready!
The Book Sale runs from May 9 – 19, 2025.
May 9 – 10, 2025: By appointment with a $5 event fee
May 11 – 15, 2025: There is a $3 event fee, but no appointment
May 16 – 17, 2025: Buy one, get one free; $3 event fee
May 18, 2025: Fill a banker’s sized box for $20; $3 event fee
May 20, 2024: No event fee
