The Leighton Art Centre Historic Home, Museum, Art Gallery, and Education Centre (featuring a historic one-room schoolhouse studio) is set on 80 acres of breathtaking rural scenery just 15 minutes from south Calgary. Since the 1970s, the Centre has existed to connect individuals from all walks of life with art, history, and landscape. As a vibrant and open space for creativity, the Centre provides its visitors – including over 8,000 students each year – with the inspiration to explore, appreciate, and create, thus enriching their own lives and their connections with others. And if you haven’t been, the drive from Calgary, along scenic (paved) country roads with spectacular Foothills and Rocky Mountain views, is itself worth the visit!

Bring the family on June 8 – 9, 2024, and support local artists as they set up outdoors with original artwork for sale at the Clothesline Art Market. Admission is by donation. No smoking, alcohol, or dogs are allowed on the property.
