Summer is the perfect time for kids to relax and take a break from their school schedule. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a time to keep learning! In fact, learning during the summer gives children a chance to slow down and pursue their passions in different ways, through discovery, exploration, and play! St Mary’s University offers two different themed summer camps, to give kids a safe place to expand their minds and have some fun!
Summer camps at St Mary’s University run Monday to Friday for four weeks in July 2022. Designed for kids in grades 3 – 6, the camps are broken into two different age groups (grades 3- 4 and grades 5 – 6) to ensure appropriate level challenges and to make it easier to connect with new friends. Science Explorers Summer Camps
At St. Mary’s University’s Science Explorers Summer Camps, campers will expand their minds by exploring science through educational hands-on activities. The diverse and unique content is focused on the natural sciences but is multi-disciplinary, as it integrates the science concepts with engineering, art, mathematics, and physical activity. It’s the perfect way to keep kids engaged! The instructors are specialized, passionate, and love what they do.
Science Explorers Camps run from July 4 – 8, 2022, for grades 3 – 4 and from July 11 – 15, 2022, for grades 5 – 6.
French Immersion Summer Camps
At St. Mary’s University’s French Immersion Summer Camps, campers will discover a new world through language and culture! A variety of interesting activities will send children on a linguistic adventure, where the main objective is to develop confidence in oral and written French. This will be accomplished with an immersive environment and a unique blend of fun activities. French teachers will offer interactive activities in French to help develop language skills and introduce French cultural experiences. Each day, great partners will be on hand to provide fun activities organized according to the day’s theme. Campers will learn while having fun with new friends and experienced instructors!
French Immersion Summer Camps run from July 18 – 22, 2022, for grades 3 – 4 and from July 25 – 29, 2022, for grades 5 – 6.
