Taste of Edmonton is back and tastier than ever! From July 17 to 27, gather the family and head downtown to experience a vibrant celebration of local flavours, community pride, and family fun. With over 50 local restaurants, 200+ mouthwatering menu items, and tons of free entertainment, this is a can’t-miss summer tradition for Edmonton families!
This beloved festival is Western Canada’s largest outdoor food festival, and it’s proudly focused on supporting the local community. That means every bite you enjoy, every ticket you buy, and every artist you see helps support local restaurants, musicians, artisans, and non-profits.
What to Expect in 2025
Families can snack, sample, and savour their way through a variety of small dishes priced at just 2 to 5 tickets—perfect for sharing and trying something new. Even the pickiest little eaters will find something to love! The Kids’ Area is also bigger and better for 2025, now featuring bouncy castles, balloon animals, face painting, and other exciting ways to play.
In between bites, you can browse handmade goods from 75+ local artisans at THE MARKET by Wholly Handmade, or sit back and enjoy one of 35 live performances on the McLennan Ross LLP Stage. This year’s big-name headliners include Big Sugar on July 17 and Trooper on July 26!
And for the grown-ups, THE BAR managed by Sidecar Saloon offers a curated selection of drinks from local breweries and distilleries. It’s a great way to enjoy a refreshment while the kids explore.
A Festival That Gives Back
Taste of Edmonton is more than a fun day out—it’s a festival with heart. In 2024 alone, the event supported over 1,000 volunteers, paid out $77,000 in non-profit community volunteer partner honorariums, and donated $13,500 in unused tickets to Edmonton’s Food Bank. And don’t forget to grab your 50/50 tickets through 5050tasteofedm.ca for a chance to win big. Last year’s JACKPOT was an impressive $74,170!
When you purchase a food ticket and hand it to a vendor, you’re not just getting a tasty treat, you’re supporting local talent, small businesses, and the Edmonton community.
Getting There is a Breeze
Make your family day out easy with plenty of transportation options. Hop on the Capital Line, Metro Line, Valley Line LRT, or catch an ETS bus—they’ll drop you off right at the gates. Prefer to bike? The Edmonton Mountain Bike Festival is bike lock-ups onsite. If you’re driving, there are several parkades and surface lots within walking distance.
