November is here – a month of remembrance, family fun, and yes, the start of the Christmas holiday season. There are plenty of family fun events in Edmonton to get your crew out and about this month. Alberta Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty (November 1-4) – Catch this critically-acclaimed new performance from Alberta Ballet – it’s a new take on the classic story of The Sleeping Beauty, and it’s in our city for four days only!
Dinosaurs Unearthed: Down to the Bone – (until November 4) You have just four more days to see this amazing exhibit at the TELUS World of Science Edmonton. And as one exhibit wraps up, another is waiting in the wings. Check out Body Worlds Animal Inside Out opening on November 30!
Lest We Forget – (November 4, 5, & 11) Honour the men and women who serve and have served at ceremonies, services and events around the city on and before Remembrance Day.
Farmfair International – (November 7-11) Whether you’re a city slicker or an agricultural aficionado, there’s something for you at Farmfair International. Animals, rodeo, shopping and more!
Light Walk at the Muttart Conservatory (Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting November 14) – See the Muttart Conservatory’s Temperate Pyramid in a whole new light with this bright new exhibit!
Magic of Lights (Nightly starting November 16) – By summer it’s a race track, but in winter it’s converted to a Christmassy winter wonderland! Visit Castrol Raceway for Magic of Lights.
Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker (November 17) – World class Russian artists and dancers, hand-painted sets, and the jubilant music of the Nutcracker come together in this feast for the senses!
Christmas Glow (Monday through Saturday, starting November 22) – Be among the first to check out this new Christmas tradition, a magical festival of light at the Enjoy Centre!
Tuck Everlasting (November 22 – December 2) – If you could live forever, would you? The St. Albert Children’s Theatre brings the modern classic Tuck Everlasting to life on stage at the Arden Theatre.
Festival of Trees (November 29 – December 2) – It’s a four-day festival of fun featuring every Christmassy activity, entertainment form and yes, treat, you can think of! A can’t-miss Edmonton tradition.
Disney on Ice Dare to Dream (November 29 – December 2) – Figure skaters bring Disney stories to life on the ice in this magical performance hosted by Mickey and Minnie!
Light Up events – Edmonton and neighbouring communities will be flipping the switches on Christmas lights this month! Check out events in Edmonton; Sherwood Park; St. Albert; Stony Plain; Spruce Grove; Fort Saskatchewan; Beaumont.
