It’s the annual Vegetorium Country Farm Market’s Easter Egg Hunt and a lot of readers say it’s the best egg hunt in HRM! Hidden among the trails of the Gordon R. Snow Community Centre in Fall River are 10,000 coloured eggs to be traded in for the corresponding coloured fruit.
Each hunter is looking for 12 eggs, 2 of each of the following colours:
2 red eggs to be traded in for 2 valley apples
2 blue eggs to be traded in for 2 dishes of local wild blueberries
2 yellow eggs to be traded in for 2 bananas
2 purple eggs to be traded in for 2 bags of grapes
2 orange eggs to be traded in for 2 oranges
2 green eggs to be traded in for 2 pears
Families with children 2 and under are invited to hunt for their eggs at the grass area at the entrance to the park and children older than two, are invited to hunt for their eggs along the wooded trails. Once you have found all your plastic eggs, trade them in for a bag of beautiful fruit! The Easter Bunny will also be hopping around the trails excited for big hugs and pictures, as well as, to share one of his favourite treats~ baby carrots! Yum!
After you collect your eggs, board Station 45’s fire truck and meet some of the great volunteer firefighters! Then join in the fun with face painting and Matt the Music Man’s special children’s show. See you there!
Tickets are $10 each. You must pre-purchase your tickets by April 4th at the Vegetorium Country Farm Market. There will be no tickets available for purchase on the day of the event.
