SaskExpress Studio – Saskatoon offers an array of performance, dance, drama, and singing classes from beginner to advanced levels all year long. Ages 3 to adult….there is something for everyone! They offer both competitive and non-competitive programming and provide classes in musical theatre, drama, vocals, and all genres of dance. All classes are taught by a team of dedicated instructors who love sharing their passion for the performing arts with kids. Summertime is no exception! This year, SaskExpress invites you to join them for one or more unforgettable camp experiences!

SaskExpress Summer Camps – Summer Performance Intensive  (July 10-23)

Into the Woods Jr.

Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favourite characters — Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), the Witch, and more. Everyone registered will learn how to audition, be cast, and then will rehearse and perform in six shows at the Refinery Arts Centre. For ages 8 and up.

Sparkle Camps  (Ages 3 – 5)

Join a week of half-day programs from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Your child will love having the chance to sing, dance, act, craft and explore.

Fantasy Fun (July 10-14) Unicorns, Dragons, & Mermaids, oh my! This camp will encourage your child to explore characters and stories through music and dance, ending with a special performance!

Twinkle Tots (July 24-28)  This camp is an introduction to creative arts learning, through Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop Musical Theatre and more. Your child will star in their own mini-show at the end of the week.

Royalty Round-Up (August 14-18) Hear ye, Hear Ye! Calling all Princes, Princesses, Knights, and Royalty. This preschool camp features Disney music and more favourites. Your child will be introduced to dance, singing and storytelling, ending with a Royal Ball performance!

Summer Stage Programs – Week-Long Programs

Sing, dance, act and perform throughout the summer with fun themes meant to inspire and entertain. Crafts and some outdoor activities are all included as part of these action-packed weeklong events. Students will work with professional theatre artists to explore voice, movement and drama.

Circus Spectacular (July 4-7) Featuring music from The Greatest Showman and other circus hits, students work towards putting on their own show.

Mythical Melodies (July 10-14) Enter the fantasy world where music and movement combine to create magical stories.

Decade Dash (July 17-21) Come experience music and style and learn the fun dances from the 50’s to 2020. Through creativity and imagination, students will create their own style and stories.

Expedition Explorer (July 24-28) Features music from Tarzan, Jungle Book, Lion King, and more. Your child is guaranteed to have an exciting trip through the jungle and safari this summer.

Spytastic Summer (July 31-August 4) Find and solve the secret codes each day through dance moves, songs, and creative drama. Will the campers solve the mystery in time for the final celebration and performance?

Magic Mania (August 8- 11) From the halls of Hogwarts to the forests of Salem, music and movement combine to create magical stories.

Disney DeLIGHTS (August 14-18) Perform your favourite Disney show tunes as you celebrate the world of Disney.

Summer Blast Intensive (August 21-23)

Dance the end of summer away with the annual Summer Blast Intensive. Dancers will learn jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, lyrical/contemporary, progressions, and conditioning.

Times: 9:00-12:00 (ages 6-8) | 9:00-2:00 (ages 9+)
Cost: $50/day or $125 for all 3 days (ages 6-8) | $65/day or $160 for all 3 days (ages 9+)
