With more than 25 years of dance education experience and two state-of-the-art locations, the faculty at Dance Co can’t wait to inspire and challenge your child. Whether your child has spent a lot of time in the studio, or if he/she is trying the art form for the first time, the folks at Dance Co can help. Their recreational program allows students to explore new styles of movement. If your dancer wants to take their training to the next level, Dance Co’s Fall Competitive Programs is the one for you!

Dance Co Vancouver Fall LessonsRecreational Division:

Recreational dance classes focus on instilling a love of dance and a joy for movement. This division is open to all levels of dancers. The one-a-week classes participate in the year-end recital in May 2022.

You are never too old or too young to learn how to dance; within each age group, there are three levels of training: Recreational Beginner, Recreational Accelerated, and Recreational Advanced. The Recreational Division provides opportunities to improve dance technique and performance while developing confidence and creativity.

Ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, breakdance, acro, musical theatre, aerial silks, tumbling, and contemporary dance forms are all part of the Recreational Division offerings.

Competitive Division:

The Competitive Division works to support the dancer’s natural talent and desire to learn through classes dedicated to technique and choreography while honing their creativity in a positive and encouraging environment. Regardless of their level, dancers are constantly moving forward with their training and achieving their goals through hard work and a passionate dedication to dance. The competitive ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, aerial silks, tumbling, and musical theatre classes are based on two classes a week, per discipline. Students prepare for competitions in choreography classes and develop their skills in technique classes.

If your child, or your family, aren’t quite ready for the full-time commitment of the Competitive Division, Dance Co has created a Demi-Competitive Division. The program is designed for students interested in exploring competitive dance opportunities without the intensive time commitment required by the Competitive Division. Demi-Competitive students train 1 – 3 hours per week and participate in one competition/festival per year.
