Summer is around the corner and that means 10 long weeks of rest, play, and opportunities to learn! Give your child the boost they need to stay sharp and be ready for the challenges ahead with Summer Boost Camps at Fraser Academy.

As parents, we all want our kids to have a summer full of long days with friends, exploring the city, and engaging in their passions. But, it’s also common to worry about how much can be lost over the summer. Our kids get used to the routines of the school day, and slowly, the valuable information and skills they have spent so long working on throughout the school year begin to slide in. The ‘Summer Slide’ can be detrimental for children who need extra learning support, and it can make the first few weeks of a new school year feel stressful as they try to remember what they learned back in June.

Fortunately, Summer Boost Camps at Fraser Academy are an excellent bridge between the school year and what’s to come in the upcoming year. Students enrolled in these summer camps can expect the same high-quality instruction enjoyed throughout the year. As one of Vancouver’s top independent schools specializing in learning differences, Fraser Academy has perfected the formula to make learning engaging, interactive, and most of all, fun. Summer camps at Fraser Academy champion personalized learning through 1:1 daily small-group support to boost literacy, numeracy, and executive function skills. In doing so, children feel their confidence soar and are ready to take on increasingly complex challenges as they meet each new goal. Through engaging activities in science, math, art, drama, music and outdoor education, campers will build connections and solidify concepts to help them feel confident for next school year.

Students entering grades 2-8 in 2025 can choose morning Summer Boost Camps (8:30am-12:30pm) or afternoon STEMphilic Camps (12:45pm-4:00pm).

Fraser Academy Summer Camps 2025 (Family Fun Vancouver)Summer Boost camps:

Students receive 1:1 Orton Gillingham or small group instruction in Language Skills Development. Following that, three more subjects are taught through interactive and hands-on exploration. Students will love solving problems in inquiry-based science challenges, learn to sing and play the drums as part of the music program, and use math manipulatives and hands-on tools to help master math concepts.

STEMphilic camps:

An exciting introduction to coding, robotics, 3D printing and creative math problems awaits in this fun STEM camp. Afternoons are for technology as students work with the talented educators from STEMphilic to develop their knowledge of science and technology through hands-on exploration. Each week has two different themes, some of which include space exploration, the science of nature, and an investigation into the scientific process.

Register your child for a half-day of camps or make it a full day with morning and afternoon courses. With small class sizes (8 students, max), spaces for Summer Boost camps fill up quickly.
