Learning to ride a horse is a dream for many kids, and it’s a great way to stay active and develop confidence and independence. Spring Break Camps at Rosewood Hunters & Jumpers encourage kids to develop a relationship with horses by learning to care for and groom them, offering emotional and mental health benefits in addition to the exciting opportunity to ride. Whether your child has never been around a horse or has limited experience, Spring Break Camps at Rosewood Hunters & Jumpers offer the perfect opportunity to discover a new passion.
Rosewood Hunters & Jumpers operates Camp Rosewood, a Spring Break camp in Southlands (true urban horse country) and the perfect place for horse lovers to explore their interests without leaving the city. The facility is only minutes from downtown and accessible by public transit, bike, or car.
Camp Rosewood Spring Break camps are open to beginner riders ages 4 – 14. Not only will your child get the thrill of learning how to ride a horse, but the 5-day camp will also introduce them to the responsibilities that come with the sport. In addition to daily riding lessons, the campers will learn all about feeding and grooming horses and ponies, caring for and cleaning the riding equipment, and the safety and cleaning of stables and riding areas. The information-rich camps educate the kids about horse safety and injury prevention, trail and road-riding safety and etiquette, and horse anatomy, too. Camp Rosewood will immerse your child in every aspect of horsemanship. Of course, riding and caring for horses and ponies might involve a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun, so Camp Rosewood includes a variety of games, on and off the horses, plus arts and crafts and other kid-friendly activities.
Camp Rosewood offers Spring Break camps for March 16-20 and March 23-27, 2026. Camps cost $699, plus tax, for full-day camps from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM, and $399, plus tax, for half-day camps that run from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. All registrations include a Rosewood gift bag.
