Magical moments await at Science World this Winter Break! If your child is interested in magic and illusions, or has ever fancied themselves a magician, this is a camp they won’t want to miss. The holidays are an exciting time filled with extra sleep-ins, family gatherings, and a chance to explore your passions outside of school. But parents can’t always get the same two weeks off every year, and kids want to spend their days with friends, learning something new. At Winter Science Camp, kids will learn the mind-bending science of magic and illusions, and the role our psychology plays in believing the unbelievable. Magic is the perfect blend of art and science. Through prediction, observation, math, and critical thinking, campers will learn that there’s more to magic and illusions than what meets the eye! Each day will be filled with learning how to perform exciting magic tricks, building skills through fun games, and developing teamwork through problem-solving challenges. Along the way, they will watch exciting science experiments and explore the galleries around Science World to learn fun and interesting facts.
Science World Camps are perfect for kids in grades 1 – 7 (born between 2013 – 2019), and each camp will be subdivided further by age to ensure every camper is challenged and works with peers of similar age. Camps are 3 days long to work around the holidays, and families can choose from either December 22 – 24 or December 29 – 31. Camps run from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, but families who need a little extra time can pick up until 4:00 PM without any extra charge (excluding December 24 & December 31).
