In 2022, Alberta Parks made some changes to camping reservations. Online reservations are now a year-round service and the start of reservations differs according to each campground’s opening date. Reservations can be made 90 days in advance for individual and backcountry camping and 180-days in advance for group and comfort camping. Some campgrounds are listed as open year-round. The booking window for those campsites opens in January.

You can also book a maximum of 10 consecutive nights per reservation. Campers can stay for a total of 16 consecutive nights in an individual, backcountry and comfort campsite; however, multiple reservations must be made. The maximum stay in a group camping area continues to be five consecutive nights.
