On August 16 – 17, 2025, you can experience Alberta Open Farm Days!
Alberta Open Farm Days are about farmers and ranchers inviting their urban and rural neighbours to stop in for a visit to share stories, see demonstrations, and learn more about the farmers who grow their food. Educational experiences are free, and some farms offer additional experiences, like picnics, lunches, hay rides and markets, for a fee.
Nearly 170 farms are participating in 2025. The theme this year is water, and many farms are sharing information on what they do for wetlands, crops, animals, and more. Some locations (like Bassano and Brooks) will offer tours of the Dam and Aqueducts. Plan your day here.
