If your child likes to be active, considering a sports-based summer camp is a good option. But if you are looking for a sports camp that offers a unique experience, then enrolling your child in a BigRock Aikikai Summer Camp is the choice for you.
BigRock Aikikai specializes in Akido, a dynamic modern Japanese martial art created in the twentieth century but based on centuries of tradition. BigRock Aikikai’s summer day camps offer a curriculum based on solid martial arts instruction under the guidance of qualified and experienced instructors. Camp participants will take part in daily classes but also incorporate other aspects of martial arts training, such as the history and the ethics of martial arts techniques. The difference in enrolling your child in a BigRock Aikikai camp is that they will also learn focus, confidence, team work and respect through martial arts. But it’s not all work; campers will also have lots of opportunity for other fun activities throughout the day too!
Boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 12 of skill levels are welcome to register for the camps. Campers outside this age range will be considered on an individual basis. If your child is completely new to Akido, then the registration fee includes a uniform and first-level belt testing and grading. Healthy snacks are included in the registration fee but campers will need to bring their own water bottles and lunch.
