Blue Grass Nursery and Garden Centre has grown from a small family business into one of Alberta’s largest tree and sod producers. They are a garden centre committed to helping you, the gardener, achieve all that you imagine in your outdoor space. They bring families back to nature and play a role in their community through special holiday events and workshops, too.
On December 9, 2023, reserve your FREE spot for the Jingle Bell Jamboree. From 11 am – 3 pm, discover a Christmas Scavenger Hunt, kids’ crafts, and a whimsical Odd Ball tree where little ones can snag ornaments for just $2. Kids can also make s’mores by the fire and enjoy some hot chocolate. Of course, any holiday event needs to include a visit with Santa Claus! Christmas is also a time for giving. Guests are invited to bring in new, unwrapped toys for donation to The Magic of Christmas. Every Christmas Eve, Calgary Transit buses are magically transformed into “reindeer buses” and loaded with hundreds of gifts. Volunteers, dressed as Santa and his elves, join in the festive journey.
