Boundary Ranch was founded in 1987 by the Guinn family, who have a long history in the Kananaskis area and they offer trail riding and much more in the spectacular Kananaskis Valley. Trail rides are suitable for guests six years and older, all riding levels from beginner to experienced are welcome.

Winter Sleigh Rides
What can be more festive than an old-fashioned, horse-drawn sleigh ride? Cuddle up with your loved ones under your blanket and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while you take in the winter wonderland. The sleigh ride will take you to the Buffalo viewing paddock and Teepee Village. Once you are back at the ranch, you can warm up around a fire and add on a marshmallow roast or s’mores before doing some shopping in the gift shop. (Depending on snow conditions a wagon may be used in place of the sleigh.)
Dog Sledding Adventure
The Dog Sledding Adventure is definitely something to check off your bucket list! Professional mushers will lead your adventure for A Taste of the Canadian Rockies Winter Wonderland and an opportunity to learn about Alberta’s heritage. You will meet the huskies, get ready to go, and set off on a journey through the snow-covered forest. You will stop to explore a genuine Teepee and a Trapper’s Cabin and learn how dogsledding played an important role in history. Enjoy hot chocolate and a cookie and breathe in the fresh mountain air. (This unique activity is dependent on snow, so dates of availability will vary.)
