Spring is a time for kids to get outdoors, smelling the new grass and getting their hands dirty. At a City of Calgary spring nature day camp, lucky kids get to spend a fun, active and educational week outdoors at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary or Ralph Klein Park.

Pre-camp care (available for 4-5 and 6-9 year-old camps) runs 7:30 – 9 am, while post-camp care (available only for 6-9 year-old camps) runs 4 – 5:30 pm. Cost is $25 per time slot for the week.

Nature Fun Camp (4-5 years)

Leave no rock unturned during this exciting week of nature walks and animal investigations. Campers will explore the natural world and learn about bugs, birds, plants and mammals through games, stories, arts and crafts. Optional pre-camp care is available.

This camp is available at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary (camp barcode 374456, pre-camp care barcode 375639).

Time: 9 am – noon
Cost: $115

Nature Spring Camp (6-9 years)

Explore bugs, birds and budding plants during this amazing week-long adventure. Campers will discover the awe-inspiring wonders of nature while learning about plant and animal adaptations. Activities will include nature-themed arts and crafts, stories, games and outdoor explorations.

Pre- (barcode 375639) and post-camp (barcode 375638) care is available. This camp (barcode 374462) is held at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary.

Time: 9 am – 4 pm
Cost: $225
